Zero chance of Adebayor to QPR

Once again he nation has been given further proof that being a prolific Championship striker means nothing when it comes to the Premier League. QPR are now learning the harsh lessons of the Premier League and at the minute are simply not good enough.

Zero chance of Adebayor to QPR

Charlie Austin has scored 2 goals in 6 games but they need more goals and more of an attacking threat. They need a Batman and Robin duo to rescue them.

Managers love to buy players they have worked with before and Harry Redknapp is no different, in fact he does it rather a lot. It is no surprise therefore that he has once again been linked with Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe.

The Sun are running a lazy story about Harry Redknapp being interested in his former charges, Defoe is on £90,000 a week at FC Toronto and is not a happy bunny. He went there for a wage packet he couldn't turn down but doesn't like it, now wanting out. Toronto, who sacked former Tottenham centre-back Ryan Nelsen, have already said they do not want players who don't want to be there. Defoe is expected to return to the Premier League when the MLS season ends in January.

Emmanuel Adebayor is constantly linked with other clubs but nothing ever comes of it because of his wage packet. Lazy reporters seem to forget he commands hefty wages and is not going to take a pay cut for anyone just to play football. Therefore any club being linked with him must be able to pay his wages and QPR are in financial difficulty after overspending on wages and getting relegated.

A permanent deal is out of the question meaning a loan deal would be the only realistic option with Tottenham paying part of his wages. Why would Tottenham want to do that? So they can bring in another player on lower wages but still have a higher wage bill? Makes no business sense and lie it or not football is a business run on business lines.

A loan deal from Spurs point of view has little going for it because as he then comes back to Tottenham at the end of the loan period, suddenly the wage bill goes up again. That reduces any available wages for further new signings and ties your hands, Daniel Levy is not going to do that, quite rightly, so Adebayor to QPR has no chance of happening.

There are no benefits to Tottenham but plenty of negatives, the only deal Daniel Levy will entertain is a permanent deal. In addition, why would Emmanuel Adebayor, who has played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid suddenly want a relegation battle with QPR in a poor team when he is playing every week for Tottenham?

A lazy story that makes no sense.
