I stand by Lloris 99% certain to stay

A couple of months back, Feburary to be precise, i wrote that Hugo Lloris was 99% certain to stay and I stand by that opinion amid newnspaper speculation, because that's all it is, that he'll leave.

Nothing has changed in the last couple of months, he is still a kindred spirit with Pochettino, he can still see what Spurs are building and still feels he can help achieve Champions League football at Tottenham. He is fully wares that there is going to be a clearout this summer of all the players that have not bought into the tactics of Pochettino or who have failed to deliver.

The players Tim Sherwood told Daniel Levy were only at Spurs playing for themselves have had another season to rinforce that and now they will b shown the door this summer. Lloris stands at the back and can see the whole game tack place before him, he can see some of the problems that need addressing and convey them to the coacjing staff to analyse on video replays.

Lloris supports the youth approach and he will see how the summer goes in the transfer market. He is in no rush to leave, he is very happy at Spurs and settled with off the field life. French football is a step down so all PSG can offer is a few Champions League games and a big wage, he'll only go there for a huge wage.

The latest stories are the same as they were months ago, if David fe Gea goes to Real Madrid manchester United would be interested in Hugo Lloris, that's it, that's the story in it'e entirely really, a bunch of ifs with no substance. It's a story to sell a few newspapers and gets wheeled out every few months, plenty fall for it. The story even says he could pledge his future to Tottenham in the short term, so a story that covers both bases!

The only aspect that could push Lloris towards the exit is a lack of European football altogether. As the French national captain and Laurent blanc telling his players they must be playing in Europe to be picked regularly, he would want his captain setting the right example. The game against Southampton is important to give ourselves a buffer between us and them as they have a far superior goal difference to us.
