Spurs scouting the 'African Eriksen'

I have brought you a few scouting reports recently and I can tell you we are well represented out in the Czech Republic where we are scouting at the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championships.

We have recently also been scouting full internationals and had a scout at the recent 2016 UEAFA European Championships qualifier between Denmark and Serbia, which ended 2-0 to Denmark. The 20-year-old Ajax winger Viktor Fischer we are watching was an unused substitute and another player we were keeping an eye on was the 'African Eriksen' Pione Sisto was also an unused sub. Yussuf Poulsen sis play 71 minutes though and scored after 13 minutes.

We are catching up with all three in the Czech Republic but having covered Fischer before I'll concentrate on Pione Sisto this time. He is a Danish Under-21 international (2 caps, 1 goal) born in Uganda, but who has lived in Denmark since he was 2 months old. He plays at Superliga club Midtjylland and can operate on either wing or as a central attacking midfielder.

Despite his young age,  in December 2014 Sisto was voted "Player of the Year 2014" by the Danish Footballers' Association. Now 20-years-old (21 in February) he stands just 1.71m (5ft 7in) tall and scored in the opening group game against Czech Republic. He is being scouted by a host of clubs, Everton have already tried to sign him, Juventus, Roma, AC Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Valencia, Porto are all reported to be scouting him. His agent, Jonas Ankersen, has confirmed that Barcelona, Valencia, Arsenal, Milan, Juventus and Porto are doing so.

He is fast and despite his size physically strong, has the technical ability the game requires today as well. A strong shot and good in one-on-one situations he is sure to go on to better things. It is the Denmark coach, Morten Olsen, who compares him with Christian Eriksen, hence his African Eriksen label.

Midtjylland are said to want £5.02 million (US$7.94m - AUS$10.23m - €7m) for him and it surely won't be long before he moves on.
