Lamela loan with £13m buy clause + Inter interest

Well i wrote yesterday about the Érik  Lamela situation and how a loan deal was of no use to us unless there was an agreement to purchase the Argentinian at the end of the loan period, presumably a season.

It emerges in the Times that a potential loan deal would now involve a £13-million (€18.31m) buy option, which really is putting all the risk with Spurs. There will be a loan fee which you would think would be no less than £2-million (€2.32m) but if he were not a success then his value would have dropped further with a year less on his contract. Spurs are not a club to take that sort of risk usually but reports suggest we are willing to try and find a loan solution.

Inter Milan could be in the market for Lamela after Sunday report TMW, they have issued a negotiate or we'll go elsewhere ultimatum to main target Ivan Perišić. Roberto mancini is the manager at Inter and he is looking to play a 4-3-3 system or 4-2-3-1 and needs wide attackers with a goal threat. Lamela may not possess that in the Premier League but he is proven in Serie A to be effective in the role.

The options include Serbian Adem Ljajić (23) of Rome, Argentinian Ezequiel Lavezzi (30) Paris Saint-Germain, Argentinian Erik Lamela (23) Tottenham, Spaniard José Callejón (28) Napoli, Italian Manolo Gabbiadini (23) Napoli and Belgian Dries Mertens (28) also of Napoli.
