VIDEO - Spurs to sign a better version of Adam Lallana

Sky Germany have broken the news that Tottenham have agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for 23-year-old (24 nxt July) South Korean striker Heung-Min Son.

The deal is reported to be worth £21.96-million (€30m) and the story originates from German newspaper Kolner-Stadt Anzeiger, which is a Cologne based daily newspaper. It has over 100 contributing editors and a wide network of correspondents for local and regional news reporting Wikipedia tells us. They report that he is flying to London today for a medical.

Fellow German paper Bild say Tottenham are merely preparing an offer, but that it is likely to be accepted and reveal he had a £18.30-million (€30m) release clause in his contract that expired on 30 June. Another German paper Kicker confirm that the South Korean is in London.

With Adebayor looking for a loan move and Erik Lamela desperate to return to Italy Heung-Min Son will be a welcome addition. he'll become the 12th player from the Bundesliga to move to the Premier League this summer.

While he plays on the left for the Bundesliga side he is dual-footed so can play anywhere across the line and will be a welcome addition for our marketing department, Asia being one of our key target areas. He carries a gal threat though, 41 goals (10 assists) in 135 appearances in the league, minutes wise he has played 9,346 minutes equivalent to 103.84 games. That's a healthy strike rate, a goal every 227 minutes and a direct hand in a goal every 183 minutes.

He has played 15 games in the UEFA Champions League proper aplus 3 in the qualifying rounds and has 11 international goals in 44 games. It would appear he suits our style as he likes to cut in and shoot from distance, a feature that appeals to Liverpool who have watched him regularly according to his agent.

He has pace, is an intelligent football and was described on a Liverpool website as being a better version of Adam Lallana.
