Janssen comments could be about Kane

Janssen comments could be about Kane

Former Sunderland and three cap England international Michael Gray has told talkSPORT that he speaks to Tottenham scout Ian Broomfield a lot and he has given his assessment of our new Dutch striker Vincent Janssen.

"They will still be getting to know him as a player but the man who was behind bringing him to the club was Ian Broomfield, who I speak to quite a lot. He does a lot of the dealings at Tottenham. I asked him what he was like and he said he is not fantastic at anything, he is not the quickest, he is not the strongest, he is not the best in the air, but his all-round game is fitted to the way Tottenham play.
“I am looking forward to seeing him get a nice little run in the side. Eventually he will get judged by goals but when the first one comes it is a knock-on effect. They got 22 chances against Sunderland, so he is going to get chances to put the ball in back of the net.”

Now doesn't that all sound very familiar? It should because Michael Owen made very similar comments about Harry Kane prior to a game and look at what the Golden Boot winner has done since. No pressure Vincent, no pressure.
