Spurs move up the European rankings

French football website EuroTopFoot have moved Tottenham Hotspur  up to 23rd in their European Football Rankings from 25th spot previously. Points are awarded for how well teams do domestically as well as how they perform in Europe.

We took our opponents in the UEFA Europa League far too casually in the first leg and once again away in Europe couldn't come away with the victory that we didn't seem to even want to try and achieve.

It was another example of not playing with the required intensity and when it was required for us to up our game we couldn't do it, our mentality wasn't right. We produced the goods at home, but still only managed a 2-2 draw after going down to ten men and still dominating the game.

Our European ranking is something we will improve if we get into the UEFA Champions League again and this time get through the group stages. We knew our squad wasn't strong enough, being young and full of potential. We will have learned from the experience and will need to look to strengthen the depth of the squad in the summer.
