Aurier and Keita Baldé Diao

TRANSFER TALK

PSG initially demanded a £27.51 million (€30m - AUS$44.58m - US$35.26m) transfer fee for 24-year-old (25 in December) right-back Serge Aurier.

After negotiations chairman Daniel Levy brought that figure down by 16.67% and agreed a deal worth £22.9 million (€25m - AUS$37.19m - US$29.44m).

After hitting a policeman, Pochettino is obviously hoping the arrival of Aurier will add some punch to the team. perhaps he could play as an emergency striker.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport report that Tottenham have made a £27.51 million (€30m - AUS$44.58m - US$35.26m) offer for 22-year-old (23 next March) dual footed left winger Keita Baldé Diao.

He wants to join Juventus and is boycotting training to try and force through a move, but Juventus have only offered half Lazio's requested £27.51 million. The Senegal international born in Spain has less than a year left on his contract and has turned down lucrative offers from Napoli, AC Milan and West Ham United.

That makes the news of Spurs bid sound out of character for us, double what Juventus value him at in the last year of his contract? Sound to me like we are being used to try and force Juventus to up their valuation.

He regularly started from the bench, yet the flying machine still managed to score 16 goals and had a further 5 assists from 31 Serie A appearances.

Born in Arbùcies, Spain, Baldé is a former Barcelona youth player, moving to Lazio in 2011. He has since played 60 senior games on the left wing (14 goals, 14 assists), 10 as a secondary striker (9 goals, 3 assists), 8 as a centre-forward (4 goals, 2 assists), 5 games on the right wing (1 goal, 0 assists) and 4 games as an attacking midfielder (2 goals, 1 assist).
